Matthew (“Matt”) McCallum is Vice President, Consulting at CYPFER.

Matt is an experienced and dynamic professional with extensive experience in cyber security incident response and security team management, with over 15 years of experience. Matt’s leadership style is to lead from the front with his technical consulting leadership experience and has personally investigated and directly managed incident response teams in response to ransomware attacks, business email compromises, data breaches, malware cyber intrusion events, insider threats, and other cyber security emergencies, affecting governments, education, Aerospace, utilities, multinational corporations, privately held businesses, not-for-profits, and small business.

With experience in responding to hundreds of cyber incidents has also taught him how to coach and train organizations for cyberattacks they will face, coaching them to control their operational risk through the creation of actionable incident response plans and procedures, and effective testing through experience-based table top exercises. Matt holds the GREM (GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware), GCIH (GIAC Certified Incident Handler) and CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional Certified) certifications.
