Richard Hanlon

Richard Hanlon is a seasoned business leader with over 25 years of board-level experience across the Professional Services, Telecommunications, and FinTech sectors.

He brings deep expertise in risk management, governance, and strategic growth, with a proven track record of advising boards and executive teams.

Most recently, Richard served as Head of Cyber Solutions and Chief Commercial Officer for UK/EMEA at Aon, where he guided strategy, product innovation, and commercial operations in cyber risk. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles with global technology organisations, including as a Director at Matsushita (Panasonic), where he was responsible for establishing and scaling the company’s European operations.

Based in Ireland, Richard contributes to public and private sector governance. He is a Governing Body Member at Dundalk Institute of Technology and serves as Chair of the Irish Government’s Regional Enterprise Plan Implementation Group.

Richard holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Strategies from Dublin City University, is a Chartered Director (CDir), and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD).
