Shawn is a Managing Director for CYPFER, a global market leader in ransomware post-breach remediation and cyber-attack first response. He has spent the last 15 years building breach response companies in the cyber insurance community, worked with breach coaches, claims managers, and brokers to create and supply first class services in the industry. Shawn is driven by a commitment to service and a dedication to helping others, both evidenced in his work as an entrepreneur and time spent volunteering at various charities.

Shawn is a certified information privacy professional (CIPP/US) and was previously a member of leading Canadian advisory boards to the sector. He has chaired multiple cyber insurance industry conferences and presented on the topics of breach response, data security and recovery, and remediation at the premier industry events. Shawn was also featured on the satellite radio show, When Things Go Wrong.

Shawn is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he earned his B.A., and the Richard Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario, where he obtained his M.B.A.
